Student Board of Education

We, the members of the Denver Public Schools Student Board of Education (SBOE), enhance the performance of our school by: 

• Promoting student voice and leadership
• Building powerful relationships among students and between students and adults
• Creating a positive school environment
• Fostering our school and district goals

Scope of Work

This year, in an effort to continue to demonstrate how student voice and leadership activities can advance The Denver Plan, SBOE members will be engaged in a robust internship experience, working on various projects at the classroom, school, regional, and district level. The primary goals for this school year include increasing participation in extra-curricular activities, increasing the number of freshmen that are on-track to graduate, and increasing school attendance.
